On 9th of May, hundreds of visitors joined the Innovation and Digitalisation Tent at the European Village in Chișinău, supported by EU4Innovation East as part of Europe Day 2026 celebrations in the Republic of Moldova. Together with ecosystem partners — Moldova Innovation Technology Park, Technovator, XY Partners, Clasa Viitorului, YEP Moldova, Startup Moldova, Dreamups, as well as startups Sigmoid and DeepGuard — the initiative showcased how innovation and entrepreneurship are shaping Moldova’s digital future.
Throughout the day, visitors of all ages engaged in interactive activities designed to make innovation accessible and engaging. Participants explored AI-themed challenges, startup quizzes, hands-on learning sessions on how to build a startup, and robotics demonstrations led by Clasa Viitorului. One of the highlights of the experience was the creation of personalized “Innovation Passports,” allowing participants to collect stamps and take home a memorable symbol of their journey through the Innovation and Digitalisation Tent.
This year, Europe Day in Moldova was celebrated under the theme “Europe is YOU: Peace. Freedom. Development.” — reflecting the shared European values that continue to support cooperation, creativity, and opportunities for communities across the country. The Innovation and Digitalisation Tent translated these values into practical experiences, connecting people with ideas, technology, and the growing innovation ecosystem in Moldova.
From children discovering robotics for the first time to young people exploring entrepreneurship and artificial intelligence, the activities created a vibrant space for learning, curiosity, and collaboration. Through initiatives like these, EU4Innovation East continues to bring innovation closer to communities and inspire the next generation of digital thinkers and creators.
