For the fifth consecutive year, Ukraine presented its national technological ecosystem stand at VivaTech. The country was represented by eight startups:
- Generect – a data platform for B2B sales;
- HYDRATICO – wastewater treatment and desalination technology;
- Odyssea – an AI platform for mental well-being;
- Ovul – a solution that tracks hormonal fluctuations using a drop of saliva;
- Sec-TA – an AI-powered cybersecurity system for businesses;
- Strimco – digital transformation solutions for governments;
- Yharvest – soil monitoring technology that increases fertilizer efficiency;
- Z1RO – eco-friendly packaging made from natural fibers.
In addition, three student startups received exhibition tickets through the EU4Innovation East project: AIREST, which helps address PTSD; Delirobo, developing robots for rapid delivery; and PHYSREHAB, creating innovative devices for limb rehabilitation.
The Ukrainian stand attracted significant attention from innovators, investors, and public officials. Among the distinguished visitors were Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France; Nicolas Faurissier, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Investment Attraction at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France; Jérémie Pellet, CEO of Expertise France; Aurora Berger, Minister Plenipotentiary for Gender Equality and Anti-Discrimination of France; and Vadym Omelchenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to France.
The participating startups reported a number of notable achievements during the event.
Z1RO entered negotiations with an investor regarding potential financing of €500,000, opened opportunities in the German and Italian markets, and established contacts with more than 10 companies. The startup also received the VivaTech Pitch Contest Audience Favorite Award, recognizing the project that gained the strongest support from the audience.
Strimco initiated discussions with France’s Interdepartmental Directorate for Digital Technologies (DINUM), the OECD, and GovTech Deutschland.
Odyssea established contacts with identity.vc and held discussions with potential investors regarding financing of $500,000.
Ovul reported eight device sales, received positive feedback from users, and identified new potential customers and partners.
HYDRATICO met with investment funds regarding potential financing of €250,000, connected with Armenian startups, and won the EU4Innovation East Pitch Contest, securing a €10,000 prize.
Yharvest established contacts with investment funds, e-peas, and cooperatives in the Loire, Grand Est/Moselle, and Centre-Val de Loire regions.
Generect generated 30 investor contacts, including Armand and team.blue, and explored potential partnerships with Moldova Accelerator, i-oasis.fr, and Basil OS.
Sec-TA held negotiations with representatives of the French government and Singapore, discussed potential partnerships with the Île-de-France region, met with representatives of the Nortal Group, explored a potential investment of €500,000, and opened new market opportunities in France, Taiwan, and Singapore.
VivaTech also hosted the EU4Innovation East Pitch Contest on 19 June, where three Ukrainian startups—HYDRATICO, Z1RO, and Sec-TA—competed alongside six projects from Armenia and Moldova. HYDRATICO secured first place and received the competition’s top prize of €10,000 for further project development. Z1RO was additionally recognized with the VivaTech Pitch Contest Audience Favorite Award.
The nine participating startups from Armenia, Moldova, and Ukraine also had the opportunity to meet with Benjamin Haddad, Minister Delegate for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France.
The national stand of Ukraine at Viva Technology 2026 was organized by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Embassy of Ukraine in the French Republic, the Ukrainian Startup Fund, and the IT Ukraine Association in cooperation with La French Tech Kyiv and CCIFU, with the support of the EU4Innovation East project, funded by the European Union and the French Government and implemented by Expertise France.
