With over 40,000 professionals, 2,000 exhibitors, and 1,000 startups from more than 100 countries, the event provided a pivotal platform for the Armenian innovators to gain visibility and forge strategic partnerships.
The participating startups were selected through a multi-phase process that began with an evaluation of submitted Letters of Intent and Pitch Decks. These materials were scored based on startup readiness, innovation potential, market relevance, and alignment with the GITEX platform. The top six candidates advanced to a final round, where they pitched live in front of a panel, followed by a Q&A session. The final selection emphasized innovation, business viability, pitch clarity, and fit for the European market.
The five selected startups were:
CaseLens – offers AI asociates to assist law firms with accurate case preparation. Unlike other platforms, CaseLens is not a chatbot, but an interface, with the AI system handling case preparation tasks based on the submitted files and delivering results within hours instead of months.
Matian – offers an intuitive SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM) platform designed to help organizations take control of their SaaS ecosystems. By unifying discovery, analysis, and governance, Matian helps businesses reduce risk, close security gaps, and maintain compliance without slowing down innovation.
Nomiq – enables businesses to reduce costs and accelerate time-to-market by rapidly transforming ideas into fully functional applications. By allowing teams to define their business needs and processes without writing code, Nomiq manages the technical complexity behind the scenes.
Thermaiscan – is a startup which aims to solve the problem of late detection in breast cancer. Their solution, an AI-powered breast cancer pre-screening tool, enables thermal imaging and risk assessment to ensure early detection in patients.
Wearify – As the creator of an advanced 3D virtual fitting room solution, Wearify is transforming how customers and clothing brands connect online, making digital shopping more personalized, accurate, and engaging.
The selected startups received a comprehensive participation package designed to amplify their presence and opportunities. Each team was provided with a dedicated exhibition booth to present their innovations to an international audience. They also gained exposure to more than 1,200 investors and participated in personalized, pre-scheduled meetings with potential backers, corporate leaders, and strategic partners through a tailored matchmaking service. In addition, they had the chance to compete in the prestigious Supernova Challenge. The package also included access to exclusive networking events, significantly boosting their visibility.
“At GITEX we met three interested investors who quickly grasped how CaseLens speeds up case preparation. Each requested our deck and booked follow-up calls. Their response shows there is real investor interest for practical AI in legal work. The event pushed our fundraising forward.” mentioned Aram Aghababyan, Co-Founder and CEO of CaseLens.
“GITEX Europe was the first time we introduced Nomiq to the European market, and it proved to be a valuable step in our journey. With such a diverse and knowledgeable audience, it was a great opportunity to showcase our solution, receive meaningful feedback, and gain insights into industry trends and innovation. The experience helped us validate our direction and return home fueled with tangible milestones and objectives.” said Tatev Avagyan, CEO of nomiq.

Among the startups, Wearify stood out by securing a place as a semi-finalist in the Supernova Challenge, one of Europe’s top startup competitions. During the opening day, its founder delivered a dynamic two-minute pitch that drew a lot of interest. Even though the startup did not proceed to the final round, over the following days, her confident presentation continued to spark curiosity among visitors, many of whom sought deeper insights into Wearify’s innovation.

Beyond the startup showcase, GITEX also offered a platform for thought leadership. Nejdeh Hovanessian, Country Coordinator for Armenia within the EU4Innovation East project, joined Narine Kotikyan, GITEX’s official representative in Armenia and Georgia, for a fireside chat on the unique character of the Armenian innovation ecosystem.

Their conversation highlighted the Armenian ecosystem’s bottom-up approach, diaspora’s pivotal role, the country’s strong scientific legacy, and important EdTech initiatives. Nejdeh Hovanessian also emphasized the broader mission of EU4Innovation East: to foster cross-border innovation and collaboration across the Eastern Partnership region.
Armenia’s presence at GITEX Europe 2025 marked a significant step toward integrating its dynamic startup scene with the wider European tech landscape. The initiative amplified the visibility of Armenian startups also contributing to bridging the gap between Armenia and the European market, laying a foundation for deeper partnerships and future growth.
In the broader context of EU4Innovation East’s mission, this event showcased the importance of international exposure for local startups and the long-term value of building strategic connections across borders. As Armenia advances its standing on Europe’s innovation map, the participation at GITEX Europe 2025 aims at fostering lasting collaborations and drive accelerated development.
